Alex Iles

Alex has enjoyed a varied and successful career in many musical settings. Before settling into an active career as a Los Angeles based session player, soloist, chamber, orchestral, and jazz musician, he toured with the Maynard Ferguson and Woody Herman orchestras. He is principal trombonist of the Long Beach Symphony and second trombone with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. He has perfomed on hundreds of motion picture, television and video game soundtracks and has been a member of the Gordon Goodwin Big Phat Band, the Tom Kubis Big Band and Bob Florence's Limited Edition Big Band. He has served on the jazz and low brass faculty at California State University Northridge, Azusa Pacific University and The California Institute of the Arts. Alex is an active artist/clinician, playing.
