I have been playing for about 40 years with both upper and lower partials. One of the upper front teeth is part of the bridge. My firat partial, I used dental adhesive which I carried in my case but haven't needed it since having the original replaced with better fitting bridges. Btw, I am 76 so should be no problem for a yougster like you. Good luck. My teacher says my tone is still very good considering the cavity isn't as large as it used to be (because of the upper) and I only need to use adhesive when I'm playing Bass Trombone, I have a lot of lower work on Tenor or I have a concert/recital. Now granted I've only been in this situation for about 3 years and it does take some getting used to, but not that long. What really worked for me was to leave them in as much as possible. I only take them out at night and I don't go more than a day of leaving them out completely.
