My dentist said that he has to remove the bottom 2 front teeth. He said that one of my options was to replace the bad teeth with tooth implants. However, the cost is too high to warrant at my age (72) and financial status. I'm concerned about being able to continue playing. Could I play with a bridge? Or a denture? I have a consultation with him scheduled next month and I need time to consider viable options. I am forever grateful for this. I believe it was "Thetubameister" who advised that Allied still has this in inventory for the 72H. He seemed to think that both the inner and outer sections were still available. My question is whether you think just the inner section would be oversize enough to be fitted tightly into the outer section or if I should order the entire assembly. That valve is no longer listed in the new catalog, so I assume no longer available. You could probably use a Getzen valve or a Bach valve, but the cost, about $400 plus labor, may be more than you want to spend on the horn. Replating is probably the way to go. Osmun charges $300 for this service. It will probably be the least expensive for a proper solution. Mike Michael D.
