To: TROMBONE-L@server5.SAMFORD.EDU Message-ID: Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" ; format="flowed" Hi all... I generally don't bring attention to my recorded work, mainly because I am not often that happy with it. However...I made a CD with an old friend, Cleve Pozar, about 8 years ago. Let's Try It Again. He is a Santeria drummer and he overdubbed the drums while I overdubbed all of the trombone parts and wrote the arrangements. This track is John Coltrane's Naima. Apparently another Santeria worshiper put together a video around it, and it is on youtube. I haven't listened to or thought about the CD much since we made it...I knew it was good but it is SO far out of the mainstream, plus Pozar just seemed to disappear off the face of the earth soon after we made it. However, when I listened to it this time I realized that it is indeed pretty good I mean...even I like it. I hope that you do too. Music of the spirit. Not much market for it, but SOMETHING good must come from this kind of effort. Thought I'd share it with you. See you somewhere... Scam/Fraud Alert: Please be cautious of offers by individuals offering to send you a cashier's check or money order for more than the asking price of your item, and then have you send the balance back to them. The primary warning signs are e-mails sent with very poor grammar asking if you will consider shipping the item overseas. Banks will cash these counterfeit checks, but then hold you responsible for the funds when the check fails to clear. If you have been victimized, you can contact the FTC toll-free at 1-877-FTC-HELP (1-877-382-4357) or use the complaint form at www.ftc.gov, or contact your local law enforcement agency. The seven movements range in expressiveness from fanfares to love duets and are in a modal language that is based in shifting tonality. They can be used as duets for the same instrument or in any combination of instruments. In addition, the tenor and alto clef books can be used for practice of these clefs by bassoonists and trombonists. As the name implies, they can be used in a concert setting or in the studio. They sell for $5.00. You can see and hear these duets by visiting my web site at http:// cooppress.hostrack.net. I hope that these duets are a useful addition to the repertoire. It's the older, heavyweight style. I love my Euros on my .547 horn, but the Chocolatero is just too small for me on my .500 horn. I'd like $90, and I'd pay shipping withing the US. There are photos here: http://web.mac.com/jeffalbert/iWeb/Site/bach.html The serial number is 37697. It has been owned by pros its entire life. Some lacquer wear and mute dings, slide is good. I have used it on gigs, but it is a backup right now and I need to free up some money. Comes with a pretty beat up, but functional old french style Bach case. Make an offer. I also have a late Elkhart 78H that I know I shouldn't sell, but I am going to put it out there anyway. I haven't taken pics yet, but I can. It has no lacquer and the raw finish is pretty funky. The slide is excellent. There is a patch on the tuning slide crook. This horn has been ridden pretty hard, but it is a great player. Comes with a wolfpack case (the one with the legs). Make an offer.
