I finf I have two more trombones than I have cases, and I need to rectify this. They are inexpensive, and besides, in Grey and Black it would look good on the motorcycle! > > Thanks in advance, > > J.c.S. I bought a Ritter Bag from WWBW at the ITF in New Orleans and have been very pleased with it. There is hardboard reinforcement on the slide pocket as well as on the removable slide sleeve. The bell end is also reinforced with a hardboard disc. The pouches on the side are adequate for two mouthpieces and small accessories. The double backpack style straps give good security to use both hands on your motorcycle! I entrust my Shires to its care around town but obviously would not check it at the airport. The only complaint I have heard - the last time this thread came up an individual who had tried to carry a mute in the bell ended up with a creased bell. This of course was due to the mute creating a stand-off from the protection of the hardboard disc. The biggest advantage in addition to the low cost is that it is much lighter than my Reunion Blues bag. Hope this helps Fred H ------------------------------ Message: 2 Date: Fri, 19 Jan 2007 08:15:25 +0100 From: "Richardson, Timothy Mr. DAC USAG Ansbach DPW" Subject: Re: [Trombone-l] Is this thing working? I'm playing with the praise band at one of the local congregations. It's not particularly high quality music, but playing is always better than not playing, and practicing is empty without playing. It's a bit of a challenge mentally because on the rare occasions there is sheet music the guitars can't play in that key anyway. So I'm playing by ear in lots of sharps, two things I've never spent much time at. Maybe an old geezer can still learn something. And it gets me in shape for Man of La Mancha coming up this spring. Enough practicing, gotta go post. -----Original Message----- From: Bosse Vingren [mailto:bossetrombon@hotmail.com] Sent: Wednesday, January 17, 2007 9:10 PM To: simon.bailey@uibk.ac.at; needhame1@plateautel.net Cc: trombone-l@server5.samford.edu Subject: Re: [Trombone-l] Is this thing working? Have you ever heard him play a "classical" piece ala Yeo, Vernon Rojak etc. I'd love to hear it! ------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Trombone-l mailing list Trombone-l@maillists.samford.edu http://maillists.samford.edu/mailman/listinfo/trombone-l End of Trombone-l Digest, Vol 24, Issue 19 ******************************************
