He plays better than his teacher did! ------------------------------ Message: 2 Date: Sat, 11 Mar 2006 14:06:46 -0700 From: Al MacDonald Subject: Re: [Trombone-l] Larson Cartoon To: "List Trombone" Message-ID: <944425306.20060311140646@earthlink.net> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Larson's work is under copyright, and he feels pretty strongly about it not being posted on the internet. Kneeburg" Subject: [Trombone-l] Mouthpieces for sale To: trombone-l@server5.samford.edu Message-ID: Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed Mouthpieces for Sale ö contact me for pictures if you are interested 1. Bach 5G ö outer rim has been rounded off to create a thinner rim than the stock model. The mouthpiece is in excellent condition. $20.00 plus shipping ö approximately $4.00. 2. Giardinelli/Beversdorf mouthpiece ö This model is patterned after Thomas Beversdorfâs personal mouthpiece. The cup depth and rim are similar to a Bach 5G. Outer rim is rolled off to create a thin rim. The rim is gold plated and is a screw rim. The shank is made to fit Conn trombones (88H, 72H, 62H, etc). The mouthpiece is in excellent condition. $20.00 plus shipping. 3. Antique mouthpiece ö This mouthpiece was made by the King Company for Ralph Liese (formerly with the Houston Orchestra) and is a screw cup model. Turning the rim in or out creates a deeper or shallower cup. The mouthpiece has a small shank and is in less than ideal condition. Most of the plating has worn off and the rim and end of shank have seen better days. The mouthpiece is engraved with Mr. Lieseâs name and also has a rim that has calibrations to make sure you find the same depth of cup each time. $20.00 plus shipping. 4. Antique Mouthpiece - Conn/Pryor mouthpiece ö This is a product of the Conn Corporation and is a copy of Arthur Pryorâs mouthpiece (I would assume). It is in good condition with a few dings on the outside of the cup and a few on the rim (but not serious). The plating is good, considering its age. $20.00 plus shipping. 5. Curiosity mouthpiece ö Fernwood - This mouthpiece is made of Granadilla wood (same as clarinet) and was produced by Ward Fern formerly of the Philadelphia Chamber Orchestra. He was fond of experimenting with various materials for mouthpieces. The depth of the cup would be similar to a small tuba mouthpiece (Bach 22 etc.) and may possibly fit bass trombone and/or tuba. The rim is not perfectly round. $20.00 plus shipping. 6. Bach 7 small shank - $20.00 plus shipping excellent condition. Payment by PayPal preferred ------------------------------ Message: 4 Date: Sun, 12 Mar 2006 16:13:46 +0100 From: "Richardson, Timothy Mr. DAC USAG Franconia DPW" Subject: Re: [Trombone-l] Larson Cartoon To: Bill Dinwiddie , List Trombone Message-ID: Content-Type: text/plain I read one I liked yesterday.
