List" Message-ID: <12adf149c2cf51ac196d38b4fbf0893c@rcn.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; format=flowed Briar Music Press has just published a new edition of the Concert Duets for two trombones by Vladislav Blazhevich. This popular set of 38 duets has been previously published by Leeds Music Co. and Edwin F. Kalmus & Co. and is now part of an ongoing series of publications of Blazhevich trombone ensemble music by Briar Music Press. The new edition by Briar Music Press is based on the Kalmus edition and corrects many of the errata in that publication. In addition, revised page layout opens up the jammed look of the Kalmus edition where necessary, increasing the page count from 62 to 68 pp. The Blazhevich Concert Duets is available on the website shown below and will soon be available in music stores that carry trombone ensemble music. "Scenes from A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur?s Court" is a five-movement composition that was commissioned by the Hartford Brass Quintet. It can be performed with or without narrator. The music is very descriptive of the action and uses fanfares, lyrical lines and some dissonance to paint a picture. The duration is 15:00 and the difficulty level is advanced. You can sample this work and my other compositions and arrangements by visiting http://cooppress.hostrack.net and clicking on "brass ensemble music". Thank you for considering my music.
