Unfortunately the version with band accompaniment is out of print. Does anyone know where we might get copies of the band parts? To explain a bit, I think it's partly cultural- all help wanted ads here state an age, and usually a sex (not applicable here). There is a proviso in the hiring for folks over 35, and we have hired them. The deal is that it is a slightly different contract. You end up getting more money, but do not get the same health insurance- you can see the doctor for free, I believe, but treatment and prescriptions are limited. So you use the extra money to pay for your own health insurance,. which can actually be a good deal. If there's anyone out there over the age of 35 who is interested in the position, please go ahead and let me know, and I'll find out what the current position on the age thing is. It unfortunately depends on the rector of our sponsoring university, and not the orchestra, who would be quite happy with hiring older folks- and in fact, did so under the previous rector. I don't know that we've approached the new rector on this. By the way, if you are hired before age 35, and reach age 35, you continue getting full health coverage as if you were younger.
