It may be deliberate. Some of the eBay errors are so obvious they almost have to be on purpose. I have come to suspect the sellers want you to think they don't know what they have, so you can get a better deal. If that is the case, the likelihood is that you will NOT get a better deal. -----Original Message----- From: Keith Marr [mailto:mail@gothicway.fsnet.co.uk] Sent: Tuesday, February 01, 2005 16:25 To: Trombone-L Subject: [TROMBONE-L:3813] Re: I'd like to see this... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Eric & Candice Swanson" > I found a Bach bass trombone on Ebay. For that matter what's a performance case? Can you play the horn without taking it out! Can't people just take the few minutes necessary to get things right. They are, after all, hoping to make a sale! Keith in Bb/F/D -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. An interesting article appears in today's San Francisco Chronicle titled "Online Auction Scams Soar -- Complaints Nearly Doubled" r.e. just these types of transactions. Can be found at sfgate.com. "If people wouldn't do s$#%# we wouldn't need cops!" ....nor would we need sniper software in order to have a snowball's chance at winning an auction on ebay. I thought the XLite was slightly smaller, but the BAM website seems to say the Classic is smaller, and I can't find dimensions on the SKB at all. Obviously the SKB is the safest choice, but if it doesn't fit in the overhead, that is a problem. Can anyone give me the actual dimensions of the BAM Xlite and the SKB? Also, if you have any good or bad experiences with any of these, please let me know, too. Good luck/break a leg. Whchever you prefer! Tell Dr. Cole, that Chris Ann from Minot says hello! We could use some more jazz back up here! Funny story--I was new in town and hadn't found my dentist. I was subbing in the Minot Symphony bone section and was sitting between "Joe" and "Curt". It was almost time for the MSU Jazz Fest, so Monty (Dr. Cole) made an announcement during the rehearsal for everyone to put up posters. Then he told "Curt" to put one on the ceiling over his (dentist's) chair. That's when I turned and said, "You're a dentist?" (I was the only one who didn't know that). We're great friends to this day. I hope someday to play bass bone as well as he does. Later that week, I had my whole family in to see him... I also found my family orthodontist in the violin section, and family chiropractor in the cornet section of the brass bande. But that is not trombone related!
