It can produce a very mellow sound at soft/medium dynamics, yet brightens right on up when pushed. Thus (IMHO), this horn is ideally suited for jazz/commerical/Latin work. It is in very good shape with a few minor cosmetic dents and dings. I would give the slide a B. The package includes the original two-tone (grey and black) Conn case. PRICE: $US 550.00 (SHIPPED to the Continental U.S.) ================== ERIC RICHARDS Composer - Arranger Trombone - MIDI ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 11 Feb 2003 07:42:48 -0800 From: Chris Tune Subject: Re: Dick Nash Reminds me of how lucky I am. . . I played a jam session with Dick a few years ago. He and I spoke about the Trombones Incorporated album and I asked him if he still had a copy and could I dub one of my own. He said that a flood destroyed most of his albums but he'd look. He finally got Charley Loper on the phone and Charley made a casette copy and printed a color page of the liner notes and tune list. The whole thing shows up in the mail a few weeks later. These two guys are not only great trombone players but they are simply really, really nice guys! Chris Tune P.S. for those of you who like to know what people play. Dick was playing a Bach 16M (I think he bought his the same year as me 1979) and an 11C mouthpiece. Ordinary equipment but an extraordinary sound. crt ----- Original Message ----- From: "Phil Brink" To: < > Sent: Monday, February 10, 2003 8:59 PM Subject: Re: [TBN-L] Dick Nash > The album was "The Trombones Incorporated" of 1958-9. The group will most likely include Matt Harris on piano, Dick Weller on drums, Gary Pratt on bass, John Pisano on guitar, Rob Lockart on saxophones/woodwinds, Wayne Bergeron on trumpet and myself on trombone. With Valentine's Day approaching, the material will have a "love" theme [not sure what that REALLY means until that night!]. These concerts are usually very informal and a lot of fun. Hope to see you there.
